The owners of 137 Yonge Street in Toronto invited the artist to program a series of light shows appearing nightly on their 8-storey façade. She used digitized images of her own paintings to create multi-coloured waterfalls cascading down the 6,500 square foot Colour Kinetics LED display after dark. The artist spent several months learning DMX software programming. Pixelated images generated by the DMX software formed the inspiration for the paintings entitled Yonge Street, part of her Red Light / Green Light series. In this way, she shifted back and forth between the “high tech” realm of digital imaging and the “low tech” approach of painting and sculpture.
